Rooted in the traditions of the al-Badia Bedouin and Palmyrene artisans, our cooperative brings together craftsmanship and contemporary living through thoughtfully handmade products.
Reviving Living Art
For generations, Palmyrene and Bedouin women have practiced weaving, embroidery, beadwork, and textile craftsmanship using camel and sheep wool, fabric, and natural materials. These traditions are more than decorative arts — they are expressions of identity, history, and community memory. Nool al-Badia builds on this foundation. Women create kilims, shawls, bags, garments, toys, jewelry, and contemporary accessories that blend traditional patterns with modern design. Every item reflects both cultural heritage and individual creativity. We call this work Living Art — because it connects past knowledge with present opportunity, and connects art with everyday functional products.
